I was really unsure at first whether or not this product would work with my bedroom door, so I measured everything according to the specs that were provided on the Creative Fitness Door Gym's website. This product page on amazon should include these measurements as it greatly helped me in figuring out if I should really take a chance in ordering this or not, especially because the only door I could use this on was in very close proximity to another door (photos posted of the proximity). According to what is stated on the aforementioned website: The Door Gym is designed to fit residential (framed) doorways from 24" to 32" (up to 45" with the extensions)
1) Face molding around door: minimum 1 1/2" - maximum 3 1/2"
2) Molding distance from wall: minimum 1/4" - maximum 3/4"
3) Wall thickness: minimum 4 1/4" - maximum 6 1/4" (trim to trim).
I decided to order this product as the particular bedroom door I wanted to use appeared to meet the requirements: 32" Doorway + 2" on each side for the molding = 36"
1) 2" face molding around door
2) distance from wall: 1/2"
3) wall thickness: 5 1/2"
Assembling this product is really easy and fast. And thankfully this product fit perfectly on my doorway and I have had no problems with it after a month of using it. In the beginning, I admit I was nervous about actually using this, as I feared it might come crashing down, but it is honestly very sturdy. If your doorway fits the measurements provided, then you should definitely get this, you won't regret it!

This is a really good product that assembles fast and is easy to install and take down. The only thing I don't like is there should be another set of hand grips on the outside of the forward extensions. I use the extensions exclusively because the standard grips are too close together. All said, I'm glad I bought it and it's very sturdy with no damage or discoloration to the door facing so far. Now if I could just do more pull-ups....argh.

This item was very easy to assemble and looked like it would be easy and comfortable to use-- but it wouldn't fit the depth of my door. There are no depth specifications on the box or inside in the directions that say that this item will NOT FIT a door more than 6" deep. It just says it will fit most residential house doors. Luckily, it was not hard to assemble, or de-assemble, and I will just return it. But please, put all specifications in the item information!

The Creative Fitness Door Gym is sturdier than I imagined. My current weight is 204#. Like others have written before me, I was wary that it would stay in place once I tried to hang from it. This thing is a rock, an absolutely brilliant (yet simple) design.
My ability to perform pull-ups or even chin-ups can only improve with the Creative Fitness Door Gym. For now, I am working on "negative" pull-ups in an effort to build enough strength to reach that goal. Once proficient at performing multiple sets of pull-ups/chin-ups, I will consider purchasing the Creative Fitness Door Gym Broad Reach Attachment. That is probably a way off, however.

This device does exactly what its advertised to do, and for the low price its being sold at, its an excellent bargain. Assembly took all of 45 seconds. Assembly instructions were poor as noted by other reviewers, but putting this thing together isnt exactly rocket science. fits VERY perfectly onto my closet door frame.
solid construction, feels very durable and sturdy. I think this will last me quite a while. Just did a set of pull ups and I felt very safe and comfortable using this device. If it leaves marks on the door frame, so be it. That can be repainted easily enough. I doubt, if used correctly, that this will cause any permanent damage to your door frame. you can easily create added protection just be wrapping the ends of the bar in a sock or a towel.
Great product, great price! Highly recommended!
