Great Lawn Game August 25, 2010

After playing Ladderball for the first time while on vacation, my wife and I decided to buy our own game. We did a search on the internet and found many styles, but Amazon.com had the best one. The one we played while on vacation was plastic and each of the rungs had broken in the middle and had to be repaired. This is why we decided on this particular purchase. It was all metal and very sturdy. It came in a nice canvas zippered case and was very easy to put together in just a few minutes. It is well constructed and will last forever. We have enjoyed playing with it many times and now my wife has gotten so good at it, she is beating me for the first time. We are very satisfied with our purchase and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great backyard lawn game.

We originally purchased a less-expensive version of this game at a local Walmart.
What a mistake, the ladders would fall over & the balls would come off the ropes when thrown. This metal version arrived and we had a problem with one of the posts....no problem, we called Miranda enterprises. The woman was a pleasure to deal with and our replacement part arrived quickly. I can't say enough about the fantastic customer service. This game has brought hours of family fun to our house! We love it!

Amazon was kind enough to accept the return on the (crappy) Eddie Bauer ladder ball set my daughter got me for Father's Day...the set which broke in two places within five minutes of attempting to play it. We ordered this one, for basically the same money, and it is solid and well designed. (Pretty easy to put together and take apart, too.) I'm not a fan of the rubber "golf ball" bolos, so we use an extra set of the real ones we'd bought for our first ladder ball game, and all is well. Nice carrying case; great game!

There are many other cheaper versions of this game available that are made from plastic. Don't buy them, I assure you they will break after only one or two uses (and I speak from experience). This set is extremely sturdy, easy to assemble, and very well constructed. Sure it costs a little more, but in the long run you'd spend more on the plastic versions by having to constantly replace them. Make the investment, you won't be disappointed.

if you have a plastic model buy this metal model you will really enjoy it. if you are looking to buy ladderball don't buy the plastic starcraft model. we have played this one alot and still no broken parts. great purchase.
